Look Upon the Holy Sun

Once Aten Rose Shining,
All Lived.

   The Sun ariseth in majesty, gazing upon 
the Earth.  To prove the existence or 
non-existence of YHWH or to prove the
existence or non-existence of Zeus is impossible.
  But to prove the existence of Sol Invictus, who

If Elephants Had Hands. . . .

     They have a childhood that lasts ten years.
They develop adult characteristics during their
adolescence, lasting until age sixteen.  They
become sexually mature around this time,
but normally do not engage in coitus until
reaching age eighteen or twenty.


     They live in a complex social structure
that values good communication, mutual
support and life-long social bonds.  Their
average life span is the biblical three-score
and ten.


     They are most commonly called 
elephants by the talking monkeys.


     They exhibit a degree of nascent 
religious thought by remembering their
departed loved ones with regular visitations
to their final resting places and by touching
and arranging the bones, as did the 
Neanderthals, who were the first talking
monkeys to attend to their dead with burial
and rudimentary ritual.


     The bond of extended childhood
experienced by these two very different
creatures engenders the childhood belief
in a life beyond death, the fear of a painted
devil, and the worship of dirty gods.

In a Fool's Paradise

     In The City of God, St. Augustine of Hippo fantasized 
about the momentary joy that breeds an eternity of
pain--the engine of lust, the Orgasm.
     St. Augustine adduced that procreation, using
 the organs of generation, involved an act of 
penetration that aroused the same sensation in the
woman as the woman feels when she produces a
menstrual flow.  And the man's phallus (Greek)
or penis (Latin) did not originally have the length
and girth which damages the hymen.  Though not
explicitly described, presumably, the man's sensation
of ejaculation was the same as urination.
     St. Augustine of Hippo lamented that this Intelligent
Design of the organs of generation was not brought about,
because the Original Sin of Adam and Eve allowed lust
and liberty to creep into the minds and marrows of 

mankind whose issue of lust are condemned to fulfill
the loathsome act of lust in a history of foul thoughts
and desires.

Measure for Measure

     Religion makes a rhapsody of words.  Words 
that many ear take captive.  Plausive words 
have been spoken and written by theologians,
prophets, clergymen, preachers, theists, deists,
theosophists desperately trying to find intelligent
reasons to believe in the God of Abraham,
a mass murderer, a merciless abortionist,
a genocidal racist, a phobic misogynist, an
enabler of child abuse, a wrathful, capricious,
egomaniacal monster. Not a God of Love---
but a God of Self-Love.  Whose name is Jealous.


     The world takes note that the few letters
and numbers of geometry, algebra, trigonometry,
calculus; and the succinct, disciplined observations
of Thales, Archimedes, Democritus, Pythagoras,
Galileo, Newton, Bernoulli, Faraday, Edison,
Dirac, Heisenberg, stated as simply as is 
E=mc2, have made some sense of the truth of
the reckoning of this world.  This sense saves.
Believe those words.  They are certain.


     

The Naked Truth

     Religion is like going to an entertaining
play and finding out at the after-party that
most of the audience thought what they saw 
on stage was real.

Brevity Is the Soul of Wit

     The Four Gospels are essentially four piles
of gossip, spreading misinformation, contradictions,
botched translations, questionable sources, 
anachronisms, desperate extrapolations, plagiarism,
and disinformation.  The Word of YHWH needs
editing and a rewrite.

Man Has His Desires--As You Like It

     St. Augustine of Hippo was baffled by the
sorrowful mystery of the creation of Eve. 
How weary, stale, and flat all the uses
of a woman seemed to St. Augustine of Hippo.
     Eve?  Eve was dirt to him.  Soil that helped
the seed of the man to make the world populous.
     For a good man's life, Adam would best
be served by a lovely boy, enjoying 
companionship and conversation in a
life shared together in a noble-ending love.

In a Fool's Paradise

     If the Lord is your shepherd, you see yourself
as a smelly, timid, exploited animal with a herd
mentally.
     The green pasture of YHWH is a defined, restricted
enclosure, not the wide open spaces of a creature
possessing freewill.
